On Wednesday, we reported that David Mamet, the guy who wrote the quote:
“Good father? Fuck you, go home and play with your kids,”
was writing a script for a movie about Anne Frank, the girl who wrote the quote:
“In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart. I simply can’t build up my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery and death.”
Naturally, many of us on the internet found this to be quite a strange match-up, but David Rees at True/Slant decided to take some initiative and enter the mind of Mamet to write up a couple of pages. Check them out after the jump:
