WTF? Shia is Apparently God to Some Sections of the Population

Here at Geek on Film, we are not the biggest Shia LaBeouf fans…at all. In fact, if the Star Wars prequels hadn’t been made, it would probably have been Shia’s presence and performance in the 4th Indiana Jones that would have sworn us off Bearded McSellout forever. Some people disagree and, in fact, like him quite a bit.

What you will see if you click on that link is a website called Shiantology, which, you can infer, is where Shia fans go to worship all that is Shia…like a God. And what this worship leads to is badly photoshopping Shia’s head onto religious icons. Worse yet, despite the incredible number of religious zealots and nutbags in this country, not a single person has referred to the incredible blaspheme that these photos represent. Instead, they make veiled sexual references, such as this one by “Betsy”:

“hey boy… i have something to tell you in your confesshianall”

Bad spelling aside, this is fairly creepy. I have posted a couple of them here, but you can check out the rest over at the site. Meanwhile, I’ll be in the corner weeping.
