J.J. Abrams Talks Star Trek 2

In an interview with Collider, J.J. Abrams set the record straight on some controversies that emerged from this summer’s blockbuster Star Trek, and laid the groundwork for an eagerly anticipated sequel. One of the elements that was praised in his take on the classic sci-fi series is how much fun it was for both diehards and nonfans, and Abrams says he and writing team of Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are trying to keep that feeling.

Gary Ross To Re-Write Venom Script

Gary Ross is the latest to try his hand at bringing the Spider-Man shoot-off Venom to the big screen for Sony. We told you last week that the Zombieland writing team of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick had submitted two drafts for the project, and Jacob Estes had worked on the project before that. Arrested Development

It has been three long years since Mitchell Hurwitz’ groundbreaking comedy Arrested Development was canceled by Fox, earning the ire of thousands and a cult status on DVD. Since its cancellation, fans have been waiting with bated breath for a movie to come out about the Bluth family (the last line of the show was “I don’t see it as a series, maybe a movie”), but despite everyone being on-board – including the illusive Michael Cera – the project has hit stall after stall, with a different cast member confirming or denying the project every few weeks. Now it appears that Arrested Development fans may finally get their wish: the screenplay is officially being written.

Spider-Man Spinoff ‘Venom’ Still On The Way

After making the announcement earlier this year, the writing team of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick behind Zombieland has confirmed they are working with Sony which is moving forward with the project.
