Weekend Preview: Educated Couples with Good Hair

The second weekend of October brings us only one wide release, and its not Where The Wild Things Are, so I don’t care. Blissfully, there are a couple of pretty good choices in limited release to whet your appetites. Your weekend preview after the jump.

Rant of the Week: Entertainment Tonight Visits The Set of Iron Man 2

Entertainment Tonight  just premiered some new footage from Iron Man 2 and while I am always excited about more news from what is by far my most anticipated film of next year, I am having a hard time getting over just how horrible Entertainment Tonight really is.

Sad Face: Norton Out of Iron Man 2

Edward Norton is currently in Toronto for the International Film Festival where he is promoting Leaves of Grass, his newest film where he plays two brothers trying to take down a drug lord. During an interview with MTV, Norton dissapointed fans worldwide when he let this little quote slip:

“I don’t know where that’s coming from…I am not in ‘Iron Man 2’ to my knowledge.”

Robert Downey Jr. and Jon Favreau Play Cowboys and Aliens

After having so much fun together working on Iron Man and its sequel Jon Favreau has apparently joined Robert Downey Jr. on an adaptation of Cowboys and Aliens. According to the new blog at The Hollywood Reporter, the director has joined the Dreamworks/Universal project which RDJ has been attached to for over a year. It’s only fair that as soon as Eric goes on vacation one of his favorite actor-director combos decide to work together again.

Louis Leterrier Talks Captain America, Incredible Hulk and An Avengers Quadrilogy

I love me some comic book movies and Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk) made my weekend by dishing a bunch in an interview for the Los Angeles Times this weekend while on the set of Clash of the Titans. Some of the news was good, some of the news was bad, but all of it can be found after the jump.

Comic-Con Overview

Unfortunately, because I live in New Jersey, making it out to San Diego for Comic Con wasn’t really an option, but it can no doubt be said that some of the coolest movie news comes out of Hall H in the span of a weekend than comes out in some months. That said, with the wrapping up of Comic Con yesterday, here are my favorite bits that came out over the course of the week.
